So, at the end of the day, which is more accurate: average pace or average moving pace?

I was going to say it depends on the situation but I think moving pace may be the more accurate of the two.

When you are doing a regular run with no stops the difference should be negligible, only a few seconds.

If you are running and have to stop at a cross walk and don't pause the timer then your average pace will be higher than the average moving pace. So average moving pace would be the more accurate.

At the end of the day if you are pausing your watch when you are stopped waiting somewhere then the difference between the two shouldn't be that large. Only issues would be the distance getting cut a little short from taking turns.
