Deleting Goals

There is no Delete/Edit Goals option on the Dashboard.

Sorry if it came out differently than that - but that's what I meant. (English is not my 1st language...)

Was just saying there's nothing on the dashboard and those who are maybe looking there are looking on the wrong place - they'll find it at the goals section itself.

Not working...again. I don't understand how it could be working one day and not the next on the same computer. When it is working I can delete active and future goals, and I can edit certain fields of future goals. The next day, nothing. Then it comes back. Right now it's gone.

I am on a MacBook Pro with Leopard OSX 10.5.8
Browser is Firefox 3.5.7

KK, I am aware of that, however the delete and edit functions had been working just fine in Firefox on my Mac. They function one day and then they don't. Firefox doesn't seem to be the problem.

For the record, the delete/edit functions are not working in Safari either.

For me it's not working in Chrome and IE8 on Windows 7.
It looks to me that it's not working on all kind of browsers.

I expect Garmin to fix this serious bug very quickly.
For me it is one of the cornerstone functionality of the product and it's a !@#$% shame that's it's not working for such a long period now and for such an amount of customers.

Kick some developers ass and get it working Garmin!

Mac OSX Can't see how to delete goals

Firstly I wanted to say what a great system you have put together with the 310 XT and Garmin Connect - SO much better than any other system I have used before.

One problem I am facing is how to edit / delete goals once entered. I have two active goals and want to delete them - the problem is there is no button to delete.

I am using

Mac OSX 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard)
Safari 4.04

Hi all,

One of the engineers wants to know if clearing the cache will fix the problem. Give it a shot and let us know the outcome:

Firefox

1. From your browser's Toolbar select "Tools."
2. Scroll down and select "Options."
3. From the Pop-up window select "Privacy."
4. Click on the "Clear Cache" button.
5. Your cache is deleted. Please refresh the Goals page and post results.

Internet Explorer

1. From your browser's Toolbar select "Tools."
2. Scroll down and select "Internet Options."
3. The pop-up window will automatically open to "General."
4. At the "General" tab, select the "Clear History" tab.
5. Your cache is cleared. Please refresh the Goals page and post results.

Safari

1. Select "Empty Cache" from the Safari menu.
2. Click "Empty" at the pop-up window.
3. Your cache is empty. Please refresh the Goals page and post results.

Dear kk,

I cleared the cache in both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox on PC (using other, but similar steps). I'm sorry to have to report that for me nothing changed.

OS: Mac OS X 10.5.8
Tried both Safari and Firefox, no delete or edit in either.
Safari 4.0.4
Firefox 3.5.7

Tried clearing cache in both. Then tried logging in from windows PC with Internet Explorer 6.0.2900. Still no option to edit or delete goals. Given that it happens on both Mac and Windows in 3 different browsers it seems more likely a problem with the server side profile rather than a problem on the client.

I don't want to be rude but this problem has persisted for months!

I tried the various strategies (adding to safe list, clearing cache) on various Mac OSX, Windows 2000 and Vista, Safari, Firefox, IE... you name it, I've tried it. It simply does not work!

Very frustrating! I'll probably move to Sportstrack afterall.
