don't buy any Garmin products unless connect+ is cancelled

CEO just admitted in earnings call

"Noting the broad range of features available to users currently, he said, "certain ones, we will likely reserve for premium offerings.

They are going to move to pay to play. Boycott until this is changed, otherwise look to different companies.

If you have connect+ you are part of the problem Smiley

  • But if you accept this once then it will be only the beginning of plus, premium, lux and platinum subscriptions.

Probably true. But at the same time there's nothing we can do about it.

I think from Garmin's POV they're simply catching up with the rest of the market. (Garmin has been doing things in a very old-school way for a long time, and while users might have loved that they could keep their watches for 10 years, it probably wasn't great for Garmin's bottom line.)

  • You might be right. Nevertheless if we accept this behaviour we'll end owning nothing and loosing all money for services. All you can do is do not pay for subscriptions.

  • All you can do is do not pay for subscriptions.

I'm doing my part by not paying for Connect+ o7

But I do pay for premium strava :/

  • I don't pay for Premium Strava or Connect+ but I don't have an objection to doing so if there's value. I do subscribe to veloviewer and intervals.icu.

  • Wow! Intervals.icu looks amazing! Great place to gather and compare all my historical data!

Thank you very much! Slight smile
