Manually enter Tanita measures

It would be useful to be able to manually enter all the measures under Health on Garmin connect. At present the majority of them are only accessible if you have particular Tanita scales.

    Older Tanita Scale

I have an older Tanita scale that gives me the same information as the BC-1000. Although I have a compatible Garmin watch, I can't get my scale data into Garmin Connect. I would love to be able to enter the data manually in order to track this data along with my fitness data.

    Tanita BC-549+

Just purchased and was very disappointed after clicking on the manual addition tab under the Health Section to learn that the only manual stat that can be added is weight. This seem to be an easy upgrade. Any chance in speeding this one up?

    Don't hold your breath!!!

This is something I've been asking for (along with many many others) ever since the Health feature was added at least nearly a year ago. Allowing only weight as a manual entry has to be one of the greatest programming SNAFU's of all time. There's absolutely no logical reason for the limitation other than a shameless marketing ploy to help sell certain models of both the Garmin and Tanita products.

    Tanita BC-1000 and Garmin Connect

Without a direct connection between Tanita BC-1000 and Garmin Connect via Ant+ stick, the integration of this two products is an issue for everyone owning any other Garmin watch then the two supported. This is truly and issue and hopefully will be addressed shortly by the two companies. I will be returning my Tanita scale as it does not provide me with much benefit if I cannot track the progress within Garmin Connect.

Thanks, and please consider addressing this issue - or at least not advertise the integration between the two products.

Just want to add to the list of people pushing for implementation of this feature... I'm sure a simple feat for the developers at Garmin ;)

I did try to contact Garmin support about this twice - but unfortunately so far no specific answer as to why no one has spend an hour or so to set this up.

Why not tell it straight if there's a specific agenda here???

    Why no manual entry?

There can be no other justification for blocking the manual entry of data other than a marketing ploy between Tanita and Garmin. I own a Tanita scale that give me the data needed to complete the Garmin screen but an unable to enter it. I will not by a new scale just to be ANT compatable.
    Garmin please address this ASAP.

+1 for manual entry. I'm already able to enter my weight manually, so additional metrics should also be allowed.

I like looking at the weekly average from my Innerscan BC568, it'd be great to be able to enter that in the site.

Also own a Tanita scale without ANT+ that provides all the info. Would love to be able to manually add them to Garmin Connect.

    Manually enter Health data

Another request for Garmin to add this feature.
  • Shame on you!

Come on Garmin that's really a shame, allowing users to manually add comprehensive health data would increase significantly GC's functionality. You and Tanita should be more interested on providing that to your users than on pushing/forcing them to buy some stuff they don't really need (most of us interested in these features already have both Garmin AND Tanita products)!!!
