while working within Garmin Connect it would be very handy to be able to add and later analyze splits. Who hasn't forgotten to hit the split button after completing a lap during a race?
Being able to manually add splits is something I am really missing in the current Garmin software.
(and I am sure a lot of people used to Polar feel the same).
I agree with this request. I'd like to be able to create a split at the halfway point of my run / cycle and compare the time I took to get there to the time it took me to get back home.
I just discovered Garmin connect. So if I want splits, I have to hit the lap button at every mile? If my course isn't marked, I just have to pay attention to the distance and then hit lap? It seems like the watch could figure out the splits.

Depending on the unit you have, you can set up Auto Lap to lap every mile for you.
I came in to the forum to suggest adding the ability to insert splits/laps to activities after they have been uploaded to Garmin Connect. Since it has already been suggested here I'll just add myself to the end to give the request more weight.
I just want to add my name to the long list of people requesting this feature. It seems so obvious that it must be an oversight that it's not there. Also, what's with not being able to zoom in on the range? If I'm doing intervals, it would be great to zoom in on the high-speed range. I don't care how slow I'm going during the "off" sections, but the graph will only go as close as to show the max extents of speed. I can zoom out, but what use is that? Same for lateral zoom, if I go for a 6 hour ride, having the whole thing condensed into 6 inches is not that useful, it would be great to zoom in on a particular section. The site is great for general summary info, and to share among friends, but it lack some pretty basic analysis tools that it should be pretty easy to include.
I agree with everyone else. Obviously these posts are either not being read by Garmin or else they don't care. Like many other posts, I forgot to reset my forerunner today and my entire run is now merged with another run, which I started at a separate location. It would be nice to be able to analyze these runs separately. You would think this is an easy addition / fix for Garmin Connect.
