Transfer data from Training Center

Is it possible to transfer / upload history data from Training Center?

...Garmin should be up-to-speed with TC by the end of summer.

At the January MacWorld Expo in SF, Garmin said it should have basic compatibility by Spring 2006. Later I heard Summer 2006. You are now saying end of Summer 2006. Don't you get the feeling of a slippery slope around you?

To me the "Windows OS on Mac-hardware" work-around seems to be too much hassle, especially if the only reason is for MB/Garmin software. Remember, Boot Camp is BETA software. Apple has done a good job of documentation and there is plenty of info on the various Mac sites but Beta means it's NOT final release and could still contain bugs...never run Beta software on your primary machine or with ciritcal data.

Patience Grasshopper...the best MB experience on the best OS will soon be within your reach?

Ha ha ha! I'll take Apple beta software over Microsoft golden master any day. The thing about beta that makes me chuckle is the fact that all of us are still beta testing the Edge 305 with the 2.40 release. Beta means nothing anymore. And as for the best experience on a Mac, I'll have to see... Garmin seems pretty stretched thin development-wise.

  • Transferring an activity from mac based training centre to garmin connect

Has there been any update on this yet. Is it possible to do this and if so how. I have an activity which corrupted on my edge 705 (added 3000 miles to the end of a run in 45 new laps, I have deleted the laps in training centre but now want to upload that activity to GC, is there a way to do it ???

    Cheers

  • The beta GTC for Mac allows individual export of workouts. I've not checked, but that probably applies to individual activities too. You should be able to export the selected activity to a .tcx and upload into GC
  • You can transfer data one activity at a time. Export the activity out of TC as a tcx file, then manually import into GC. If you've been uploading to MotionBased, then that data will eventually be migrated.

Can I ask a stupid question?

How do I export one activity? I only see the option to export history, workouts, or courses. "History" seems to be everything I've got in there.

If you're using the Windows version of GTC, I believe you can select the activity in your history and click the right mouse button to export. The Mac beta version 3.0.0.4 is similar, but you select one activity (or folder) and select Export from the File menu.
