Gravity/Elevation/Altitude Correction

I'm still uploading to MotionBased because the elevation profiles in GC re terrible. I nearly always start and end my rides at the same location (my house) and to find that it rose or sank by 50m while out for a 1hour ride is disconcerting to say the least. What's more in some cases I've even used a digital barometer to confirm that the atmospheric pressure did not change during the ride. So either the barometer in my Edge 305 is not working correctly (no temperature correction?) or Connect is not getting the data our correctly.

Whatever the cause it's not great to see that my data is inaccurate on a site that is supposed to replace MB where the data is accurate and reliable,

If there's any way of adding an altitude correction option similar to the "gravity" feature on MotionBased, it would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Forerunner 305, and the elevation profile plots I get on Connect are inconsistent at best, while the elevation gain/loss numbers are pretty much worthless. Running the exact same 4 mile route on 7 different days gave me elevation gains anywhere between 203 ft and 847 ft.

    Thanks!

Also seeing the delta in elevation using GC

... wondering if this needs to be logged as a bug ?

One more vote to add MB Gravity Web service-like elevation correction to Garmin Connect - please, please, please!! The ONLY reason I ever used Motionbased was because it did a much better job of calculating the elevation gain/loss from my Forerunner 205.
