Dot Racing

I'd like to see Dot racing with a few of the features that used to be at motionbased.

Motion based used to follow your position on the map while zoomed in during playback.

I'd like the ability to slow down playback slower than the existing player. Slow down and interpolate data between points.

"Garmin Connect does not offer the Analyzer, Saved Reports, Dot Racing, or Viewports features as you know them at MotionBased. We plan on offer these features at Garmin Connect in the future. When we do, they will be much more robust and customizable where applicable."

The failure of Garmin even to acknowledge the multiple, multiple requests for this feature is extremely disappointing. Google searches reveal references to explanations such as "development team left" and the like, but I cannot find ANYTHING from Garmin itself. I have a 305 I want to upgrade, and with the unavailabiltiy of dot racing, and even gradient information, available on GarminConnect, there really is no compelling reason to stay with a Garmin product. Indeed, I see mapmyfitness will give you gradient. So, Garmin, step up to the plate and provide an answer as to if it will come back and if so, when, or at least tell us it won't and why not. Your customers deserve better.

I am still waiting (and hoping) that GC will come out with the dot racing feature like in MB. I used to get a lot of positive feedback comparing several activities against each other. I realize that now I can still look at the data and figure things out but it was so convenient to use the dot race feature. I could compare runs and very quickly determine an area that I should analyze further. I still use the "player" feature but it really provides me with minimal feedback.....i want to compare different activity dates against each other!!!

with 3rd party software you're able to do this, just import your fit files in the tool.
