TACX CLOUD shut down: creating slope workouts in GARMIN CONNECT

Hello. I have been a TACX NEO owner (1 before, 2 now) since 2018, and a prolific user of the TACX CLOUD "create your own workouts" tool since then. Mainly using the slope option instead of the other ones. Today I discovered that the site is being dismantle and prompts you to use GARMIN CONNECT to create the workouts. By the way, deleting all the database you had on your profile dashboard (Why?). Sadly I found out that there is no "slope" option on the GARMIN CONNECT website/app. Is there any possibility to recover that feature?

Thank you.

  • Nope - if I trawl back to older workouts (set up with varying slope to suit each part of the workout) I just get the endlessly spinning donut when I click on them. Mobile app is version 4.63.5 which dates from about a fortnight ago. I've found the best solution for me is to simply use the "Start Slope Workout" option on the dashboard and set slope to something which allows warm-up/recovery and fairly serious effort simply by changing gear to suit - something like 1.5%. Then manually time each segment of the workout. It's not as slick as was possible before but hey, that's progress eh?!?  :o)

  • I also have 4.63.5, and on iPhone it works:

  • I will try to complete one to see what is the outcome
