Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

    Hello Madasahattersley,

That file is totally corrupt. There is nothing to fix :(
I have tried to repair over 20 of these "recovered files" and not succeeded one time.
Did you explore the 500 drive, Activities folder for any FIT files?

    Hi Don

Thanks for taking a look at it.

No it doesn't appear in the activities folder, but when I used the EaseUS software it appeared to recover the ride as the Garmin had deleted it. Evidently it hasn't recovered it properly though so I should just take it as a write off :'(

    Regards

    Hello Jpeishen,

Is that the correct date for your file? 2015-07-17 ?
What device did you use to record this file?

    Hello Don,

I am not so sure about the date anymore since it's last year's ride. It is recorded using the Garmin fit app with my android phone (Sony Xperia Z3 Compact).

    Hello Jpeishen,

I kept the July 2015 date.
The data stops abruptly at 112kms but your device kept recording another 29 1km laps all with zero distance because there were no coordinates. The file contains summary data with totals of 141kms and 7748Calories.
I repaired the 112kms and made it Session 1. All the data is good in Session 1.
Then I manufactured another 29kms from your existing data and made it Session 2. I did that so that your file will have the correct total 141kms and 7748Calories. The Cadence and Elevations and Speeds are not correct in Session 2.

Here ya go. Fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.

    Hello DmirtyM,

Your device is recording in a strange manner. Three different times (10min, 4min, 6min) it recorded the exact same coordinates with no elevations yet there were varying cadences and speeds recorded as if you were still moving. When the coords started again there would be a big jump in the distance. Finally at 8kms the data stops abruptly with you still moving at 9km/h.

Here ya go....fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.
