Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

    Hi i was wondering if anyone can help me out. I did a group ride and everything was going normal till i uploaded my ride to Garmin and my file had a bad gps data, speed, cadence, hart rate and averages the only correct data is the distance. please if anyone can help to recover my data. Thank you.

    'insufficient privileges to view the file' - you will either need to change to view on that file to 'public' or attach the .fit file in a message on here.

    Can I ask the same favour please. Not sure if fixing the file will solve my problem (it won't upload to garmin connect) but worth a try?

    Hi Mando

    Something strange has happened with your file insofar as it suddenly leaps from 0.22km to 35.39km as can be seen in the highlighted cells in this pic. There is no data in between those distances that can be recovered.

    I have been able to 'recover' the file and it should now upload and at least report the correct ride distance if nothing else.

    Hey thanks Mike. Uploaded fine, but it only seems to be the first half of the race. Do you know if there's anything I can do to get the whole thing? It still shows in the history of my watch at the full time and distance.

    Hi Alastair,

    Fit File Repair Tool is reporting that the 'recording ended abruptly' as can be seen in this pic. The event log also shows that there was a start command issued at 0715hrs but there is no stop command recorded.

    I don't own a 910XT so I am unsure what could be done to be able to help you get the whole thing, but you could try re-exporting the .fit file again?

    My fit file is NOT corrupted, but it contains some bad GPS data. In the middle of a ride (on a climb in a wooded area) the 800 unit lost satellite and some wonky data was recorded. Obviously, satellites came back. It would be nice to remove the bad data to see if the ride can be properly snapped to the road. It was a race effort up a very steep climb in the middle of a competitive event. It would be nice to see the VAM and other stats on a certain website.
