Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

    Hello,
I recently did a charity ride for cancer, but for some reason i cant upload my data to garmin connect. i think the file is corrupted.
could someone please see if it can be fixed? it would be very much appreciated.

    thanks in advance,
    marc

    Hello Marc,

Here ya go. Fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.
At about the 1 hour point your 500 stopped recording for 2 minutes and screwed up the distance from the cadence sensor so I had the tool recalc all the distances and speeds from there using the gps distances. Then at about 2h37m your 500 stopped recording again for several hours and then recorded a few points then quit for good. That created over 100 errors which I deleted.

thank you so much for that. my garmin seems to turn itself off quite regularly, not sure why, will need to get that checked out i think.

    thanks again!

This likely isn't your problem, but you might want to double check........

When I first got my edge500, I was having some rides where it would have recording gaps or shutdown. I found that when I had my right hand on the handlebars near the stem, the brake cable would get between my fingers and the timer button. It took surprisingly little force, virtually unnoticable, to stop/start the timer, which in some cases was long enough for the autoshutoff to do it's thing.

If you have your edge mounted on aero bars I could see the same thing happening with a waterbottle or such. In my case, I adjusted the cable and it doesn't get between my hand and the unit. So I've not had this issue since.

    Recover a corrupted file?

Any chance I could get some help recovering this file? I'm a Mac user and can't use the recovery tool.

This was my longest run to date (28 miles) and I would really prefer to not loose it.

    Thanks!

    Take care,
    Jeff

    Please help

    Hi Mathias or Don,

Would you be able to help me on this .fit file? I think it is corrupted based on what I have read. I'm kind of new to understanding all of this .fit file language. This was a fun ride, century ride 100.98 miles, 13.6mi/h, 7:24:51, and 4974 calories.

    Thank you in advance!
