Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Former Member
Former Member

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

    Thanks a lot Mike!!!
  • Hi

I have a fit file with incorrect altitude (because of fenix 3 hr bug with altitude/barometer).
I tried http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/ but as reported from others it's down.
I also tried just eliminating the field with https://www.fitfiletools.com/#/stripper#view but it seems it doesn't work (after upadting the new file the altitude is still there).
    Anyone can fix it?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    hi NicoMando,

Elevation fixed - should now read way closer to what it should.

    Give this file a try.

This is perfect, thank you very much!
Just a question, what tool are you using to fix them?
    Thanks again!

    Hi There

I did a ride this morning and smashed a PR on a segment I ride regularly. However about a quarter of the way through the segment my Garmin lost satellite connection which was not regained for the rest of the ride. My speed, cadence and power sensor kept working therefore I have the correct lap info (I manually start the new lap for the segment) however the GPS data is cooked.

Can someone have a look and see what's going on. I tried fixing the gps data on Fit File Repair Tool in the GPS correction, using a GPX file that I created on Ride With GPS, specifically for the part of the ride where the data is missing. The data looks fine however when uploading to Strava the ride distance goes to 14,000 odd km and ends in Lagos. I'd like to think I could ride this far however it's unlikely.

The FIT file is attached, and the link to the missing route is here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26442148

Cheers in advance! Got me stumped and I need to prove to my friends that I did what I said I did haha

    Hi Jed,

It can be done but can you plot you entire ride route and then provide a link to it? I can then export the .gpx file and overlay it with .fit file.

    cheers
