Garmin Connect Site now self-refreshes quite often, losing unsaved changes

For the last 2-3 days I've noticed the web version of Connect 'refreshes' the page/connection every once in a while where it never used to do that.

The problem is that if you're halfway through designing a course or writing some notes on today's ride, you lose the whole lot and have to start over.

Anyone else got this annoying little issue? I'm using a Macbook and Chrome browser Version 72.0.3626.81 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  • Actually, the shortcomings of this forum are more of a PITA to me than Connect.

LOL. Know what you mean. Until now, though, I've really enjoyed developing new courses and writing commentary on my rides. Now I have to remember to refresh the session before I start and save every minute or two. It's a bit poor really that this should be necessary on a modern website for a tech company.
  • BTW, Web Connect is down for me at this moment.

The same here - it does not connect. Tried in different browsers - all the same : [h=1]We’re sorry.[/h]
Something went wrong, and our site is temporarily unavailable.
We’re already working to get things back on course. [h=1]Web server is down[/h]
  • We're not alone.

  • Have the same issue since last week. Using Firefox. Typical Garmin, break it, deny it.
  • Break it? Sometimes.
Deny it? I don't think that's the case.
Fix it? When they get to it,

That being said, it's really becoming annoying over time. The difference between an "A" level problem and a "C" level problem is 2 weeks.

Hi Yes it is extremely frustrating working fine up until a month or two ago, now when you have put in all the work creating a course it crashes before you get to save it. Garmin's support continues to be non existent, and its reputation poor, time to look elsewhere
  • I don't know for sure but this might be fixed now.

When it was a problem for me, I would wake up in the morning to a web Connect page with all zeros for the day. Now when I wake up, yesterday's stats are still there until I manually refresh. Also, one of the things I do first thing in the morning is to manually enter my weight. When it was a problem, trying to enter it would first lead to an automatic refresh and then I could do the input. This morning, it just accepted my input without refreshing first.
