Since yesterday, when I rename an activity (to give it more description in the title), it reverts back to the default name it was given when I uploaded it as soon as I click away from it. Anyone know what's going on here?
Same problem for me. Any activity from the last week whose title or details I have edited with not show on the Activities list. For example, I go running and the activity is initially as Hometown Running. I edit the name to My Big Run which shows up on the Activity Detail page. When I go back to the activity list, it still shows as Hometown Running but, if I click on the activity, I see the new name on the detail page.
This happens when I try to edit the activity on the mobile app or on the Garmin Connect web page. Curiously, if I go back and edit the name a second on the mobile app, the edit name shows up on the activity list. HOWEVER, if I refresh the activity list, the name is reverted to the original name (ie Hometown Running).
This clear points to a recently created server side bug. The broken behavior is the same for both the app and web page. C'mon server devs, be careful! Hoping for a fix soon. You can't search for an activity by name if all the names are reverted to the generic default names.
Same problem for me, first noticed with Cycle ride on Sept 22nd and it repeated today with another ride...i can edit the activity page no problem but as soon as i return to the activity list the default info returns...curiously though, so far, my walks and runs have behaved normally! This is happening across ALL browsers and in the IOS app.
Hmm. Me, too. Only started doing this a few days ago. Do the 'powers that be' actually take any note of these forums and action solutions or are we talking to ourselves?
This same issue started for me on September 21. All entries before September 21 in the Activities list show the correct name. As others have done, I tried multiple browsers, all with the same result. I hope someone in tech support at Garmin is paying attention and addressing this issue.
It's not just the names, it's any change made when editing, such as changing the distance, elevation gain, or activity type. I use a treadmill and the foot pod distance is never accurate (in part because it seemingly won't register below a certain cadence), so I'm always punching in correct distance and elevation (from incline used). This affects everything from how activities are displayed (individually or in a list), to Reports > Progress Summary. None of my elevation or distance totals are recording correctly, and it's a problem!
I hope someone from tech support sees this because somebody on the backend definitely broke some code.
