Connect not transferring plans to training calendar (it thinks it is though)-FIXED

Please help me.... please... I need to get some sleep!
For 3 days I've tried to download training plans to my 235, they are in my Training calendar in Connect on my PC and they appear in the Calendar on my Connect app on my android phone but they do not appear in the training calendar in my 235. I've searched forums and tried fixes but no luck. Here's what happens and what I've done;
Put Garmin training plan into Connect calendar and sent to device (arrow in top R corner). Express opens and sends 43 activities to 235 via USB.
Open training calendar in 235 and message reads 'download your training calendar from garmin connect.'
So, nothing in training calendar but each activity has been placed in My Workouts in the 235, which is no good to me, I want to know what I need to do on a given day by pressing a button on my watch Training-Calendar-Today-Do Workout (which I've done for the last few months for a previous training plan).
I've completed a marathon training plan using the calendar without a problem but I can't get it to work now.

Here's what I've tried to resolve the issue;
Sign in and out of Connect after clearing history and cache on 2 computers using IE, Chrome and Edge browsers.
Disabled adblock and security settings.
Deleted training plans and workouts from calendar and then rescheduled them anew.
Checked and unchecked the activities in Calendar (2 little lines left side of Calendar view).
Synced the 235 around 40 times, checking/changing settings etc. but still the same message 'download your training calendar from garmin connect.'
Please help...........
  • Same problem here on my 735xt...

    Usually the scheduled training are saved in the schedule folder contained in the workouts folder of the device memory (accessing from windows explorer once the device is connected via usb to the pc).

    Since there is this problem, I noticed that the schedule folder is created in the garmin folder, same level of the workouts folder. Even moving manually the folder in the supposed location, does not help. The device, when trying to access the workouts calendar, says to download the workouts from garmin connect.

    This is exactly what I'm seeing as well. I also failed to actually copy "schedule.fit" to "workouts > schedule" folder (upon disconnecting the watch the file gets deleted) or delete "schedule.fit" from "schedule" folder (upon disconnecting the watch the file appears again, surprisingly with the same old modification date which dates back to before my deletion attempts).

    And what now????

    Here I face several other issues since the last update:
    1) could not sync my activities through wifi
    2) could not sync my device on the PC with Garmin Express (device not detected)
    3) when the device is not detected by the PC (Windows 10 and Windows 7 computers) with an up to date Garmin Express app it drains litterally the battery (from 70 to 10% in only a few minutes when it should charge....)
    4) device charge does not start when plugged on the wall power source

    As mentionned I faced these issues since the last update last week. It was working again suddently 2-3 days ago. During this short period I also could load my workouts (but opnly 10!!!!) but the training calendar was empty.... and then the same issues are back. Now I can even not charge the FR620 anymore. I am in the middle of a training plan for the London marathon and think I will buy a new sport watch but if the issue is related to this last update.....who will pay for it as I don't need 2 sport watches ?????? Very bad news....

    620

    Same problem with the 620.

    Part of the sessions are transfered to my training and not training calendar.

    Workouts not sending either IN ADDITION to Calendar

    Fenix HR3 - Calendar Workouts not working as reported. Also Workouts sending to device are not working either. This is unacceptable for devices in this price range, the leader in this industry, I'd expect more.
  • Fenix3 same problem...:mad:

    Absolutely unacceptable. More than 5 days and no solution

    I was so happy with my Fenix 3 HR, but now this software issue throws Garmin's image on the floor.

    Please do something quickly!! I'm in the middle of a Marathon Training program.
  • In case it helps someone you can go fish for the fit file of your activity here H:\GARMIN\ACTIVITY and import it manually in GC.

    Any Update?

    Hi - I've been having the same problem and silly me thought it was my Forerunner 620 (and so stupidly went out and replaced it with a 235 which is having the same problem)! I can understand if there's a systemic issue but a) can't Garmin update users without us having to dig through the Internet to find this and b) provide more regular updates? The last update was five days ago, which frankly is NOT acceptable for those of us training for a race. The workaround is clunky and it's not acceptable to keep us using it for such a long period of time!

    This is AFTER getting NO help from your online chat support and not even bothering with phone (which wouldn't matter since you're not open weekends or after normal working hours anyway)!
  • Same issue with a Fenix 3HR and 4.20SW... how is it that 5 days later there is still no resolution? I wish the button had been disabled on the website or some kind of notification had been given. I had most of my training plan on my device and just wanted to add two swim workouts for the week and instead it wiped 185 workouts off of my training plan. Now I only have 25 random workouts in the workouts section of the watch instead of the training plans section.

    The stipulation that it isn't really a problem since the workouts are still there just in a different section is NOT accurate. I did not get all of my training plan workouts to transfer and the ones that did transfer are from all over the place, not the most recent days. This is not the first time I have had major issues with training plans transferring to the device. The watch itself is amazing.. just wish the web developers did a MUCH better job on Connect.
