Why put me in a lower step challenge when I won the previous challenge?

Last week I got 1st place in the 80k weekly step challenge. I don't understand why I was put in the 75k challenge this week. I have meet and exceed 80k steps for weeks now.
  • I have the same problem this week! Met and exceeded 80K for weeks, and now I'm in 75K challenge.

Same issue for me as well. Won the 65k step challenge with over 79k steps and got moved down to the 55k challenge. What's up Garmin? Is anyone monitoring these forums?

In the 175k the guy who won had 211k steps. I came in at second with 174k

BOTH of us are in the 150k this week.....

Same here, I won the 70K step challenge with over 100,000 steps and this week I'm in the 65K challenge.
  • Same here.. Won the 125k step challenge and now down to 100k.
Havent been getting badges for wins either.
  • I guess we can draw a couple of conclusions here:
1- the selection of the appropriate step challenge was messed up this week
2- nobody from Garmin reads this

Let's see what happens next week!

Ive never have seen these challenge groups before evn on my way up to the 175k challenge

95k and 150k are new to me.

It looks like they are putting us into groups based on rolling averages now where as instead u would have to breach the ceiling of the previous challenge and have made more groups to try and segregate the runners from the non Runners or just simply to create better competition ?

And it explains why some of us have dropped

    Just a theory

Last week I was dropped to 55k challenge after I was the first in 60K challenge with 97k steps.
This week I'm in 50k challenge after I was the first in 55k challenge with 134k steps. Fantastic!

I think they are working hard fixing the Lactate threshold bug since last year, give them some time and they will fix this.
