Good news! https://connect.garmin.com/en-US/status isn't temporarily unavailable anymore.

It says GC is up...

All seems to be working now.

I had the issue with the server with my ios Connect App, during the night and early morning. But now it seems to be working just fine as before.

My only concern or complain here with these outrages is:
    - Garmin should atleast officially notify its user via email/forum about any server issue/maintenance and its implications during the outrage.

I wouldn't mind at all if there was any official notice sent out about the issue and some sort of ETA for the issue to get resolved.
These types of issues are bound to happen, so there is nothing to complain, but knowing that its not an issue with our hardware/application will be a great relief for the user. And anyways the device stores couple of workouts so if it takes a day or two for services to be back operating, I don't think we should worry much. No reset needed. Wait until the service is up and all the workout will be uploaded when the service is up and running.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Chingkhei
  • Looks like this issue is now fixed, the problem it does not sync the number steps I had yesterday. Is there a way where I can load my steps for the previous. My Forerunner 225 still has the total

I'm back up and operating, yesterday's steps are in there for me. Hopefully yours come across eventually. I can't find any way to manually adjust them or force that particular setting, only to force a whole sync, which usually includes historical data.
  • Not that I care too much, but my Sunday steps didn't add to my weekly step challange... anyone else notice this?
  • I think the "down for maintenance" flag in Mobile may have been a stock notice that was a bit misleading. I doubt that what happened yesterday was actually planned.

Last November, Garmin did have a planned outage which they advertised on the site for weeks in advance. Of course, there were lots of people who hadn't noticed it.

On another note, Insights said I was doing less than a typical Sunday for me. LOL.

Yeah, my Sunday steps did get in this AM when I synced. To anyone having issues, try killing and restarting Garmin Connect on your phone (or just restart the phone).

There was some unscheduled Garmin Connect maintenance yesterday. The maintenance is complete and all data should be syncing. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately the app has resized screens - at least on my iPhone 4s - and I can't get my VS HR paired because I can't access the 'next' button. I've reinstalled the app, done both soft and hard reboot of phone without success, and so I have no way of updating my stats. Whose bright idea was it to make the VSHR phone-only update? I much preferred having the dongle option of the vivofit as a backup to bluetooth.

    missing data after sync

I'm in Singapore and I tried syncing my data for a at around 7am or 6pm CT. This is when there was the maintenance message. Later on the sync completed but there was a lot of data missing:
    1) my heart rate data from the day before to the sync time.
    2) my sleep data from the night.

Repeated syncs did nothing to fix these issues. How can I fix this issue?
