This whole thing is a joke, not given any reason, apology or ETA on when it will be up and running again, obviously customer service is a very low priority for Garmin.

I've JUST switched from fitbit and have never had this sort of issue with them, giving serious thought to returning all of the items i have bought as faulty (as the products are not functioning as advertised) as i can't sync anything from my vivosmart hr or my garmin scales.

A serious apology needs to be made for the total and complete lack of communication, never mind the error.

All of this could easily be fixed if garmin had simply supplied a local app. So people could sync devices with their phones (which is what most people have to do anyway), which THEN synced with the server the next time it connected to the internet. More convinient, relible and fool proof.

If Garmin want to be taken seriously as a developer of this sort of soft/hardware then they seriously need to step up their game.
  • Garmin not available

Anyone else trying to log on and sync and receive an error message?

Totally. I was not aware that Garmin Connect was a server based application until now. Trashy!

Yeah, same here. My run synced fine to Garmin Connect and Strava, but activity tracking data (steps etc) hasn't.

Same....activities there but step count and associated calories from the steps isn't there today.

Same here. Activities are visible, but my step count is still on the nuber from 15:01 CET when (for some reason) this synchronization worked. After that Garmin Express reports errors while syncing on my Mac.

Really poor service by Garmin :(
  • Looks like things are slowly springing back to life. Activities, steps, and pseudo-calories are all current for me. MFP sync is still not working.
