Connect fails to count certain activities in Reports and Total Distance

Hello,

I'm having my first problem with Garmin Connect, which has stopped counting certain of my activities in reports and most annoyingly does not include in total distance as well.
The running activities are counted accurately, however indoor rowing activities and indoor cycling activities are not counted.

I have two ways of putting in rowing and cycling data: 1. I register the activity fully manually after the activity, 2. when I do intervals I use my HRM, then sync the activity and add the distance manually. Connect fails to count the synced activities where I added the distance manually.

It does not seem a big problem, but it is super annoying not to be able to see my rowing and cycling distances and be forced to count manually.

Any advice and solution is highly welcome!

Thanks in advance,
Ervin
  • also having report problems

I'm experiencing a similar problem: my indoor cycling is not showing up in my total time report even thought the activity and time show up in my activity log. Garmin needs to fix this.

Similar v fustrating issue with Garmin Connect re swimming reports. All my swims are now auto entering as "Other" where as before they entered as Open Water Swimming & auto calculated through onto the daily report graph as well as Leaderboard. Despite manually correcting the activity to Open Water swimming & fiddling with my 310XT I can't get daily swims to feed through. Curiously it still reports activity when I do a manual report though !!! Anyone able to suggest a remedy as it sure is a bugbear !!

  • Distance not showing when input manually

Same issue here, I add Avg RPM, Avg Power, and Distance to spin workouts and manually input values do not show in reports. Should be an easy fix to just write the values to the record in the database.
  • Indoor Cycling

I am having the same problem with manually added distance after indoor cycling
  • Same thing with accumulated steps for Dec.

    Manual activities are not counting

I've noticed the same problem since around mid-November. Indoor runs are not counting in total distance. Also, a manual activity I added through MyFitnessPal was not showing up in the Garmin Connect calendar, and not counting the calories burned. So when sync'ing to MFP, Garmin "corrected" the calories burned in MFP to be lower since it couldn't see the manual activity.

My monthly step count for December has also not updated for the past week, but if I change to either daily or weekly view then steps are counted correctly.

    Update from Garmin support

    Update from Garmin support:
We are currently aware of an issue with Garmin Connect causing any changes made to an activity(Including manual activities) not reflecting in the reports at this time. We are working on getting this resolved, we do not have an estimated time frame when this will be resolved, however we are working as fast we can to resolved this issue. We appreciate your patience.

Data shows in activities, but not in reports

I only run. Over the last few weeks I have been without my Garmin device for a couple of weeks and added multiple activities by exporting the mapmyrun data to a tcx file and importing it manually. No problems with the data showing up in reports. Yesterday I could again run with my watch and the data shows up as an activity, but does not show up in the reports.
  • ScottAM54,

I had a similar issue yesterday. When I woke up this morning, reports had caught up. However, today is missing at the moment but I suspect it will also show up by tomorrow. This applied to the activity time and the heart rate reports.
