Yes the GC App is very disappointing. The only bit that works is the steps section. The calories from MFP and badges either dont work or dont display the same information as the full web GC.
Ive just bought a vivosmart and it doesnt sync with MFP at all (app or on pc).. beginning to think it is a bit of a waste of £140 as this was one of the main features i wanted it for.
You are not alone. A great many holiday season Garmin new users are experiencing intractible problems with the Garmin cloud not syncing with MFP, crashing, losing data, duplicating data and generally being a pain in the behind user experience.
I have emailed Garmin support Australia 5 times in 8 weeks and got not one reply.
I am return gin my Vivosmart under warranty as the Garmin cloud is clearly broken.
I posted this issue on Twitter the other day and garmin replied that it is a known issue and they are working on it. They asked me to be patient. I asked for an eta with no response. Not much help other then it is nothing you are doing.
MFP also is not updating Garmin Connect Mobile. Also tried direct synch via Garmin Conect web and that synch connection has also been down for over 24 hrs
Mine was working perfectly until yesterday. Now it wont sync my calories. UUGGHHH! If I go to Calories and try to manually sync, it just spins and spins and spins and then stops and nothing happens. Really starting to piss me off.
I had the repair mine when that happened, that helped
For some reason, calories recorded in MyFitnessPal quite syncing to Gamin Connect a couple of days ago. Not only did it quite showing current consumed calories, even calories recorded in MFP prior to this initial problem in GC have stopped showing up.
I've tried everything I can think of and that the support pages suggest including disconnecting the two apps and reconnecting, through MFP and GC, by mobile device and by desktop. Still doesn't work. Everything else on both apps appears to be working fine, just don't see consumed calories on GC anymore. Comments?
