*FIXED: Activities List Issue (GCM v2.0)

Former Member
For those of you experiencing issues regarding viewing your Activities List (only seeing three (3) activities, being redirected to "Go to Getting Started" or https://connect.garmin.com/help/start, etc.), a fix is currently in the works. We are submitting a build to Apple that should fix this problem. This update will be released once it has gone through Apple's approval process, which typically takes around 24-72 hours.

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

PZAMORAN: Are you clicking on the "View All" button underneath the Activities List? If so, I would suggest clearing the cache off your phone/rebooting your phone and trying it once more. You can do this by pressing and holding both the Power and Home buttons on your iPhone for 10 seconds until you see an Apple logo.

Please let me know your results once this is attempted. Thank you!

Tried what you suggested buy still with no success.
  • I updated the apps and now see all my activities. I even did a practice livetrack and it worked with my 620. I haven't tried my 510 yet.

However, my bike activities show up as unknown unless I use the root cycling activity. If I use indoor cycling (trainer), the app doesn't know what it is.
  • Not fixed here either. Uninstalled app, rebooted, reinstalled, stood on my head...but still only 3 activities shown. Version 2.0.1

I suggest you remove the *fixed update to this thread title.

Do your app developers test this stuff before releasing it ? Combined with the general mess that the GC development team have made of their updates, the poor quality firmware in both the 620 and 810......it doesn't bode well for the future of garmin. Which is a shame.

Tried clearing the cache, rebooting, unistalling app and reinstalling but still only 3 activites. Totally agree with previous comment. When can we expect this issue to be solved?

    Snap.
I can still only see 3 activities as well even after uninstalling, removing from pc, clearing phone cache, downloading again, reinstalling etc etc. Sigh!
  • I think it's worth reposting the blurb from the App Store that accompanied the 2.0 release:

"You spoke: we listened. And although we seemed to have lost our way momentarily, we're back on track with smoother downloads and uploads, and those pesky crashes are long gone like the starting line..."

    Hilarious
  • I wonder why it's working for me.
  • who knows ?

    regional settings ?
    time settings ?
something different in your GC account ?
something to do with private/public activities ?

    it could be anything

If Garmin implemented a decent and ROBUST testing program before releasing things then they would pick up this kind of issue before they embarassed themselves.

Garmin currently have many, many competing companies snapping at their heels offering both software and hardware solutions for the fitness market space. I still think their hardware solutions are still better that the competition BUT their software solutions are TERRIBLE. As soon as the somebody releases a good hardware solution for running/cycling then I think it's game over for them in fitness products. They are so far behind on the software - take a look at the other options and you'll see how far adrift they are. Even if the current app worked (HA!) then it still looks like something from several years ago.

I also get the impression that Garmin are trying to lock down their hardware to use GC - look at what they have done with access to the 3rd party (and useful) apps, Strava, WF etc - basically closed it down without warning, more through incompetance than planning IMO...... This is a HUGE mistake. Somebody somewhere needs to get a grip on the situation.

Not only are they NOT listening to their customers - what they are actually doing is of such poor quality that it's alienating them.

    rant over.
  • Also updating to try and fix this issue exposes yet another device breaking bug from Garmin.

My advice: Find a combination of firmware/app version that works for you and never update again, otherwise Garmin will continue to wreck your stuff. :(
