Yep v2 all good for me and my Edge 510, but you have to uninstall your old v1.x APP first - who would have thought that old buggy release would still haunt the new version 2!! Garmin should get the advice about uninstalling first up on the App Store Description.
I have a Garmin Forerunner 620, which is suppose to show Cadence, Vertical Oscillation (VO), and Ground Contact Time (GTC). The new iOS Garmin Connect version messes all of these up. Cadence is now blank for all activities. VO and GCT are now black - these are supposed to be colored to show different percentiles. Also, if the GPS is off (for running on a treadmill), the Cadence, VO, and GTC are missing.
Like others I too was getting the crash, so uninstalled/reinstalled and it seems to have fixed that. Now I'm on the home screen, connected to my 810, and its blank, doesn't appear to be sync'ing, no progress bar and at the time of posting its been that way for 15 minutes.
App look very good at first glance. I'll be trying the live track coming weekend and really hope that the stability is improved. Did notice one thing though. Usually, I log all my running activities per surface (road/trail/track). This is also facilitated on the site and was always shown as 'running' in the old app. The new app only shows running on the road as running, and trail running and track running as 'other'. Not really a big issue.
However after yesterday's ride there was no success uploading (Syncing) the new activity from the device (Edge 810).
Phone and Edge paired successfully and I redid the pairing process to be sure. Also I restarted both the Device and iPhone.
The little info bar at the bottom of the app screen said:
Syncing with Edge 801
The soon after:
Sync Failed
Device Connection Error
So I deleted all the activities from my 810 then tried again with a short test activity and the sync worked just fine.
Suggest this could be a good workaround. Also tried Livetrack today and no problems. All good so far.
Had the same live track problem, uninstalled reinstalled sorted. Now every time I select community it crashes. Also don't like the black dots on the graphs the colours showed me whether or not I was in a particular zone.
Come on garmin sort it out I paid slot of money for my fr620 and expect things to work.
So apparently removing the app and reinstalling should fix it?
I'll try it (twice as some point out) but w t f? the old app was dreadful and Garmin managed to make it worse?
-edit- un- and reinstall (only once) did the trick. live tracking is functional. Hopefully more stable as before...;)
Upgraded to 2.0... was crashing when I was trying to start up Livetrack. So, I deleted the device connection... but now, it won't find it anymore! I tried deleting the app, and then re-installing... still nothing! Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
