No, it's not the lying awake. I lie awake quite often: I sleep very badly. Then also my registration goes on. No, it's explicitly getting out of bed. Why not try it tonight. 

I often get up at night and go to the toilet. So I don't need to try it today. I know that getting up briefly during the night is not a problem for my correct sleep recording and that sleep is therefore not "reset".

I will check it fot the next couple of nights.and post the results here.

Here is a night-time visit to the toilet. Sleep before was not reset, sleep after was still recorded.

Then maybe the watch makes the difference. I have the Venu 3. In any case, I am going to monitor this for a few days.

That is possible. I have a tactix 7 (=fenix 7x).

I hope others with the same watches will give a reaction.

Even an algorithm cannot work equally well for all people. There may be people who use the same watch but have different experiences.

You should also make sure that your personal details in Connect are correct. Data such as your gender, height, weight and also the entry for your heart rate. Is the information on HRmax, resting heartrate etc. correct?
