My Forerunner 955 cannot pair with my Ipad

I have tried to pair my forerunner with my Ipad, it recognises and tries to complete the set up but says Pairing Failed - Unable to pair your Garmin device.

I have also noticed that my Zwift will recognise my forerunner but the hrm data isn't shared (shows 0 heart rate), which before Christmas was working just fine.

I have tried updating both operating systems, with no success.

To confirm or exclude the iPad is the culprit, try connecting to some 3rd party apps (Zwift, Tacx, Strava) on your phone, as well as on a computer.

Zwift works normally on my Google Pixel phone.

... and also avoid having the watch connected to multiple devices at a time. Normally up to two devices can be connected simultaneously over BT, but I am not sure whether it is the case for all watch models. I would try stopping the BT on the phone, when you want to receive the HR on the iPad. If other devices paired with the watch are in proximity (computer, Edge, ...), then disable the BT on them too.

Yes, i've swtiched off Pixel and tried to connect the forerunner to the ipad with no luck. Can't pair it either when I have opened Garmin Connect.

You do not need Garmin Connect for Zwift at all

Yes I know, but I thought it was worth mentioning as another issue with the ipad
