Care to remove your ads from Garmin Connect?

I have 2 Fenix watches. I don’t want a third. Can you remove this crap from My Day?

  • Got Garmin support on the chat and that was worthless also.  I was told that it will disappear at an anonymous time.  I am tired of Garmin and their nonsense.  It's time to move on to more dependable products.  

  • I just turned off the phone and deleted and reloaded the app.  It has disappeared for now.  Who knows if this will work in the long run.

  • I noticed since the last update, there is an advertisement,ent from Garmin taking up a full phone screen full of space! Wow! Super frustrating. I wonder where we are going with this app. They added golf to the permanent activity list, every time we get an update, seems like a lot to me, myDay configuration is wiped. Anyway, I am gripping a bit, sorry. 

    Does anyone know how to make the ad go away? Seems like in thee past it was temporary.

  • Plus 1. Just got a Fenix 7…don’t need to see this in Connect. Please remove it or allow me to “x” out of it. 

  • I believe this is a bug in the app. The workaround that helped in my case was to go through the "Add Device" workflow and then force quit the application before actually adding the new device. That box was gone after restarting the app on the phone.

  • +1  Very annoying.  I even clicked the "Explore Products" link to see if that would clear it...nope. 

  • It happens (sometimes) after the app update. Force the app to close and reopen it. The banner will be gone. At least it works for me each time it happens.

  • Garmin is getting greedy. This is a corporate answer to getting more money. These decisions couldn’t be further from the users agenda. We’ll buy your product, Garmin, based on app and product performance. Not ads! Change this trash or you’ll start loosing people.
