Garmin Connect 4.12 keeps crashing - UPDATE

Connect Mobile 4.12, iOS 12.0.1, iPhone X, keeps crashing on virtually any activity in the More menu.
I was trying to add a new Index Smart Scale, but whenever I go to the Add Device, the app crashes.
and if I cannot add the scale, it cannot be used. Maybe I’ll have to return the scale...

    The provisory "solution" was already provided... don't let the app connect with Apple health. It works!

  • Lost all my health data in iOS. This is frustrating. Hoop it will be back after sync problem is solved
    Happy that this is the last time we will be having daylight saving time in Europe.

    I’m having same problems today, app keeps crashing, reinstalled it now can’t connect watch etc! Any help welcome! Thanks E x
  • Hi,
    if you have Apple Health running, switch off the sync with Garmin, may be it helps (via the German forum it does).

    WORKAROUND:
    To regain access to the app change your phone time zone to one that does not require DST, it lets you use the app again.

    Thx. Just selected time zone to Iceland. All my data is almost back again.

    Yep, another vote for changing my iPhone’s timezone to Iceland. Tried rebooting, deleting and reinstalling but no joy. Changed timezone to Iceland in iOS and Garmin Connect magically loads and syncs. Change timezome back to UK and GC loads and dies after a few seconds. No sync possible. Set timezone to Iceland and all is well again ... Seriously Garmin? Didn’t need to change Apple Health app settings, just timezone.

  • Have same issue. Since app was not updated yesterday, i would assume time change over night has something to do with app isses.

    Same problem. Only started crashing yesterday when the clocks went back.
