How to display Calories (Active + Resting) in My Day and NOT Calories In/Out?

Hello, I just got my VA 3 and I connected it with MFP for the Calories In/Out calculations. However, I decided I do not want to use this and I prefer to see my Active and Resting Calories in My Day instead (just as I did in My Day BEFORE I connected with MFP). I disconnected the syncing between Garmin Connect and Mfp but I still do not see the Calories option in My Day, still only Calories In/Out. Editing My Day does not seem to help. What can I do here?, or will it take a day before the changes are visible?
I already uninstalled MFP and GCM and reinstalled both, still the same issue. Garmin chat support did not seem able to help but they also did not know you can sync up with MFP..

Thank you!

  • This was such a pain! Here is what you need to do:

    1) On Garmin App: Click the Three dots ("More"), then Settings, then Connected Apps, then Disconnect MFP. Then Sync your device.

    2) In MFP: Click the Three Dots ("More") then "Apps and Devices" and find garmin and disconnect. Then Return to HomeScreen and click the three dots again, then scroll down to click the "Sync", and let MFP Sync.

    3) On Garmin Connect WEBSITE: log in. Select "Health Status" on the side navigation menu, then click "Calories In/Out" and select "Disconnect My Fitness Pal" towards the bottom of the screen, and then select "Disconnect".

    4) THIS IS THE KEY: LOG OUT OF Garmin Connect app on your phone. Then Log back in!!! (Garmin Connect App will actually re-find and re-pair with your device... don't worry all of your data will pull back up as soon as it syncs/pairs... and the original default "Active and Resting" Calories will be there instead of the In/Out!!!

  • What worked for me was to go to MFP >> settings >> help >> delete account >> deleted the app. Then I went to the Garmin app. >> to connected apps >> and disconnected MFP. And it went back to normal!
