My guess is it will be sometime in March to be timed with the release of the Garmin Vivofit activity tracker, which requires a new version of the Garmin Connect web & mobile apps (was shown at CES).
I thought it wasn't possible but I updated Connect on my Galaxy S2 running Kitkat 4.4.2 then tried to pair using Bluetooth just to see how it failed and instead it paired and synched - I thought the S2 has the wrong version of Bluetooth.
It does not work. After logging in, it closes the app. I've sent a report through Android itself. It does not matter if I pair it with my FR620 or not. Bluetooth on and off. Always closes the app and I have to clear all data to be able to open it again.
Sinc now works with my Nexus 7 (2013 model KitKat ) and my Garmin 620 One sugeston - the app will not rotate to landscape mode so its not tablet ready yet, the good news is it works so I can live with it stuck in phone view for now. Thanks GArmin
Seems that does not work with S3 (4.3 version) and Garmin 620. The first time the application starts the 620 watch connects but the application still says "Searching" for ever. If the Garmin 620 is switched off and I exit the "Search" of the app and go to the menu and look under devices, the app reports "connected to 620 with Mac address..." although the watch is off. Switching on the 620 and putting it in pair mode, then try to add a new device to the app, the app is asking if the watch is showing code "...". Confirming "OK" and then both the phone and watch search for ever.
Uninstalling the app and repeating the steps above, still the same. The first time the watch says connected, the app searches for ever, but in subsequent attempts, neither the watch or the app say connected and they keep searching for ever. Bluetooth is on by the way..
