Problem with live track notifications

I set up a live track for 2 friends for an event. Afterwards I removed them both as recipients but my Garmin still sent them track me notifications every time I start an activity. I removed their phone numbers from my contacts in the Garmin account but that didn't help. I stopped using Live Track but my husband wants to be able to know where I am when out on a run for safety reasons so I started it up again today and it sent out track me notifications again to my friends as well as him. Any ideas how I can stop it?

Did you check Live Event Sharing?

Hi e7andy - yes have checked live event sharing and that is off. The only person's email and mobile in the Garmin app is my husband's. I've tried everything to get it to stop sending track me texts to my friends but nothing works.

I did a test now and activated Live Event Sharing with my mobile number as recipient.

When I start an event I get two texts.

First: "Here I go! My event just started."

Second: "Track me: ">https://gar.mn/xxxxxx" which will link to LiveTrack

I suggest you enable Live Event Sharing. Add your own phone number. Start an activity to see it work and you will get the texts. Then turn it off. Start an activity again to see that it stops.

Maybe their numbers somehow are still in the system.
