Garmin-Connect new Interface is TERRIBLE

I was part of the beta review of new Garmin-connect interface.

My evaluation/response is exactly what your community is now telling you on this forum.

The new interface is wasteful. Its terrible.

We would like the old one back please.

We like the previous summarised/condensed info on front screen.

We can then choose what detail to view.

I was a loyal Garmin user.

Your new interface is so bad, I am going to investigate/review whoop and other rival health watches.

You will lose alot of customers if you dont fix this abysmal new interface.

  • My wife and I dislike the new interface immensely. We've been with you for years this could actually be a deal breaker.

    Please reinstate the previous display.

I can't actually believe you've replaced what wasn't broken with this inferior version.

The person responsible should be held accountable for this massive error.

You'll lose loyal customers over this.

    Bad business sense.

    Thumbs down.

    Awful.

  • I agree completely. I can't figure out how to log my run information. It is obvious the folks that wrote the change do not use the app. It is terrible!

  • I plan to switch brands as a result of the interface change to the app as well.

  • I want the old UI back.  I am regretting getting into the garmin ecosystem at this point.

Garmin watches are not cheap. But I splurged and got one recently.  When I stated using the app, I immediately understood why it's so well-reviewed.

But... Then I installed the latest downgrade.  I am livid.

  • I agree, this was a TERRIBLE change. I LOVED the old connect interface. I used to use it all the time just for fun because it was just so easy to use. This new version is so PAINFUL to use that I have completely lost interest.

Garmin, please acknowledge your mistake and revert to the old version. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

  • I bet is because they want you to spend more time in the app.... More time searching, scrolling for information you had before Smiley

  • Yeah, my watch needs to be recharged now and I think I'm just going to take it off and stick it in a drawer or sell it on Facebook Marketplace.  It's basically useless to me based on the way I need to interact with it.  I have a $16 tracker I got off Amazon that's much less robust overall but gives me the identical basic data I need with a much better interface than this Garmin update.  I'm just going to use it.  Again, I will NEVER understand why these companies do not leave the option to keep previous versions, even if unsupported.

  • Agree 100%

This new interface is beyond terrible. It's like its actively trying to hide information from you.

And they even did the same to the web interface as well. I spent a long time setting everything up to my liking, and now that's just gone.

And why? No idea - maybe some highly paid designer who's never actually used it thought it could look prettier.

Well, either that, or they were at capacity and wanted people to move away...
