New Garmin connect mobile updated home page is awful

I cannot believe how bad the new Garmin connect home page is. Why remove the ease of viewing my day with one glance of the app?. Now have to scroll through the page to see all the info that was contained in my day section.  On top of that, the user has no ability to bring back the old display or edit it to something similar. This new update is so annoying I suspect my next smart watch won't be a Garmin.

If this home page stays as is, I will no longer be a Garmin user for ANY of their products.

Update to moderator.   Nothing in my original post was "uncivil".  Why do you keep censoring my comments?

  • Any chance of reverting to the previous layout? New layout is a complete disaster.

  • Just chiming in to add my frustration with the new home page. The old list/widget design was much simpler and allowed the user to get through all of the different data points much quicker. Within that general design, the individual widgets could definitely used a touch up, but they really messed up with the different categories they introduced.

  • Totally agree

I really love the device, but the app is awful after this update.

And I actually wonder, if this is just some hundred of users moaning and everybody else is happy or are just people lazy to write reviews or even silently switching to concurrent.

In general I don't understand for whom this update was done. Maybe for some designer or product owner who does not understand the product and its customers? Or was it from the desire to make the web and mobile look the same instead of trying to use the advantages of each platform to make soft better? Or is it really a classic example of some "effective" manager who has own vision based on whoever know what and pushed on development team whatever it takes, examples of what often can be seen in the industry. I am really sorry for development team then.

And I actually wonder, if this is just some hundred of users moaning and everybody else is happy or are just people lazy to write reviews or even silently switching to concurrent. Also it is very sad to say, but looks like this design was forced on users with a thought that if they paid for an expensive device, they are hostages here and won't switch to another one just because of inconvenient app. I hope it just looks like this.
On forums I also saw a lot of requests for new functionality (which I also personally would like to get) like ability to import gpx from mobile app and adding backpack to hiking activity.
Please add opportunity to use my day stats again. But no, instead to add that when can do redesign which will make everything worse.

  • I completely agree too. The datas are so small, complicated to find, and all is Black. Please get back to the oldest page.

  • It isn't just hundreds of users. You can check stats in the play store and when I got the update the app had ~926k ratings, 56k of which were 1 star. Right now the app is close to hitting 100k 1 star ratings which is a very significant jump. It also dropped from 4.5 stars average to 4.3 but if it continues like this it will be 4.2 soon.

  • What gets me is Garmin's complete contempt for its customers. So many if us clearly very unhappy with this, and yet they haven't even acknowledged that, never mind done anything about it. It's the contempt for me as a customer which really gets me. That is the kind of this that quickly gets to the point where it is too late to repair it

  • 3.8 in the German section.

To bad there is no such direct feedback system for the scrapped web dashboard.
