Missing Watch Settings on Garmin Connect - Android

Hi All,

For some reason I can no longer see my watch settings on the Connect App (Android). All it shows is a stock image of an Instinct 2s (which I have) and saying that's it's 'connected'. There are no other menus.

I have previously uninstalled the app and re-paired the watch but without success. Strangely enough, the other day the setting reappeared - which I put down to an app update, but by the end of the day the setting disappeared again! Thankfully I managed to change a few data screens before starting an activity that day.

I have checked the app permissions and as far as I can see I have not prevented it accessing the things it needs.

Anyone else having this issue or just me?

The app is on ver 4.58

Instinct 2s is on 8.64

Issue was present on Android 12.. and now on Android 13.

Thanks all

  • I am on ios, but just cleared the cache combined with a soft reboot, still no menu.  Very annoying!

This is an Android forum, but never mind. Do the following:

    1. Force stop the the app (swipe it up in the app switcher of your iPhone)
    2. Press the Light button for some 20+ sec until the display turns blank (keep holding even when the emergency alert pops up)
    3. Restart the watch
    4. Restart the GC Mobile app
    5. Check whether the settings are there, if not repeat the restart of the watch
