Vo2 max not syncin between watch and app

I have a Forerunner 235 and it seems my vo2 max stopped syncing between the watch and the connect app. My vo2 max has changed in the watch but in the app it has not synced since december 1st. Maybe this started after the latest update. Anyone else having this problem and has a solution?

  • I think is garmin configuration. I restart the clock "the factory setting" of the clock. Uninstall the app, and this doesnt work...

  • Yes thé dame thé last updated 1 décembre.

  • Pues hoy a mi por fin ya me apareció actualizado en Connect!!!. Y no tuve actualizacion ninguna. Lo que si hice esta mañana fue reiniciar reloj, pulsando más de 8 segundos el botón de apagado. No sé si fue por eso o simplemente coincidencia.

  • Same here with my Fenix 3. Vo2 updated on the watch but not on the app or on the website

Just got today's vo2max updated in the app!! I saw your reply and restarted my watch earlier. Thanks!

  • Hi, I was in contact with the German Support and it works now. Here their answer:

You had contacted us because the VO2max on your Garmin device continued to update, but these new values were no longer being transferred to Garmin Connect.
We have identified the cause of this issue and implemented a back-end fix to resolve the issue. However, this fix only takes effect for newly uploaded activities.
If you want to include a previously uploaded activity in the VO2 Max report, you will need to upload the activity to your account again for it to show up.

  • so thanks for the update. yes, mine updated for today's run (first time in 2 weeks). and to update all days without vo2max, had to go thru the PITA (pain in the ass) process of downloading the Original activity file for each of those runs in Connect (which downloads as a ZIP file), extract the activity from the ZIP file (it unzips as a FIT file), delete the activity in Connect (yes, I was a little nervous about doing this but I had the original data file so I figured I was okay), and then import(upload) the FIT file (I tested this process on one of my runs and it came out good so I did the rest). And waah-laah, the activites were there and more importantly, I had all my daily vo2max readings. Happy updating and happy holidays!

  • Followed the same process but after uploading back the activity there was still no VO2 max for my last run..

  • ooops...I forgot to mention that I reset my watch a couple days ago as well and I took a rest day from running yesterday. nothing updated after I reset my watch and it was only today after my run that I had an updated vo2max. I held the upper 2 buttons down until it asked if I wanted to power off. I highlighted Yes and then held the button down until it turned off (the button that starts/stops the timer). I don't know if this is how it's supposed to work but I was willing to trying just about anything. BEWARE: after doing this the annoying Move! rumbled every so often (to clear it again...Menu, Settings, Activity Tracking).
