    Awesome!!!!

    Thanks again ..

I really appreciate the help. .

  • Actually, Bluetooth is only part of the system. What happens is when an item (or person, I suppose) is lost you invoke a search in the Tile app and when anyone in the Tile community is within 200 meters of the item it sends the GPS co-ordinates on a map of where the connection was made. When you get close enough, the app using bluetooth signals you whether you're getting closer or farther away from what you're looking for.

Of this type of device, Tile is the most popular, so there are a sizeable number of people wandering around so it often doesn't take long before your app gets a notification that a connection had been made with a map location.

I have a similar device attached to my keys. It has helped me find my keys 2X in about the 5 years I've had it. Once in my daughter's back yard and once on the back seat of my car.

This 2 minute video summarizes it quite well.

Looking through the 20 Best Trackers for seniors article, I see there are similar devices on the list. I know at least one of the devices on the list to be a PITA so I would check reviews prior to taking the plunge.

  • i am not sure, but Garmin have Dog Trackers, think you can use it for a person too?

i know, it's strange, but an idea?

    or google: Dog tracker

there are cheaper solutions then Garmin, the main thing is the same, find your lost dog or your father in law
