im selling it !!!!
Yes, you are right, if you tested it, and have proven that the bezel is the culprit, nobody would buy it. Better keeping it secret between us
Well, never mind, I will make a steel bezel for my non bezel Instinct, and run a reference run with and without it, to see whether it makes any difference. I am still curious about it.
Well guess what.....the forerunner 645m arrived today and I ran my trusted 5k route and guess what is measured .....5k !!! Just goes to show that vivo active was totally wrong !
OK, so now go out again and try the 8 miles route too, to be sure
Ha, yeah I'll go now !
Now tell me how do get a refund from Garmin for this vivo active or at least a replacement !
Try to call them, and point them to this thread. Of course, the problem is that you waited a bit too long before finding out they were not good enough for you. Did not you tell you own them since a few months or even a year? Well, if they don't refund, I think you can still auction them for a good price on eBay.
Tks I've called a few times ...last call was they were sending to an engineer in the US and await an update
To be honest I wouldn't feel comfortable selling it knowing there is a fault. Might gift to my mam for her walking and steps etc .
All night playing around with 645 and loving so far , even the SS bezel
Tks for all your help (even the sarcastic parts )
To be honest I wouldn't feel comfortable selling it knowing there is a fault.
I do not think the unit is faulty. It is simply a less accurate model, who's main typical target customer is not a competitive athlete caring about the deviation of some 200m on a 5km track. It would be in no way dishonest selling it as fully functional, because it is how this model apparently works.
