Garmin doesn't stay connected with the Connect app on my Huawei Smart Plus 2019

Hi,

The last days my Fenix 5s plus doesn't stay connected with the Connect app on above mentioned Huawei phone.

When I started to use my phone I read all the tips and tricks on this forum and I used it. My phone and watch did what they were supposed to do.

But now... not possible to get it connected without restarting my phone and watch.

Can anyone help me out?

  • Latest update I've had:

Installed new 'latest critical update' for vivoactive 3 watch, now running version 7.0 as of 10min ago.

Had to remove device and reconnect Again and the connect app synced with the watch. The very moment I went into a menu on the app (settings) and came back out, the watch was disconnected again and won't reconnect.

If you guys are all having connection problems, yet on different phones and with different wearable - the only common thing is the Connect App itself, which isn't being looked at as a cause of the problem.

Garmin have sent me a couple of emails asking for diagnostic data etc. and a couple of non useful suggestions. I've updated them and heard nothing back.

  • I have also this problem with my huwaei en garmin venu. WearyWearyWeary

I have same problem as you. do you have any update? At this moment I am trying to upgrading Android 9 to 10, maybe it can be fix it. I can inform you after installations.

  • After a couple of WEEKS I got an answer from Garmin. Huawei is unstable. They don't have a solution for this problem. All the previous given solutions worked for a short period of time.

Finally, I have finished successfully. now it works properly.  first I have upgraded the Android to 10, after reinstalled garmin connect app on my self phone, and paired both of them devices successfully. Maybe problem was in android 9.

Android 9 is just fine. I use it with GC since months. More likely the culprit are some phone settings, permissions, or phone specific OS hacks.
