Live Heart Rate not showing in App

The Garmin Connect Mobile Android app has updated to 4.22 and the live heart rate is not showing up all I get is "- -". It shows the resting and high heart rate.

If I click on the heart rate it is recording it on the graph.

Anyone else having this problem or knows how to fix it?

All right, I've made it working by removing my Fenix from Garmin Connect Mobile and adding again.

If you have more than one Garmin device, only the one set as the Preferred Activity Tracker will display the live heart rate in the app. I have three watches and I need to change the Preferred setting…

fenix 5 plus same issue no hr or sleep data reporting....does garmin read all these issues!

On the phone app, go to the menu, then Garmin Devices, select the device, then choose Activity Tracking, scroll to the bottom and choose Preferred Activity Tracker.

I had this when I got up this morning. Everything else was displaying and heart rate was fine on the phone and on the graph in Connect but not on the front screen.

Solution was to turn off Bluetooth on my phone, let my watch disconnect (Vivoactive 3) and then restarted after a minute or so. Hey presto, HR display restarts.

Thanks for this, just had the same problem and toggling Bluetooth off and on from the phone sorted it.

I fixed this by uninstalling and reinstalling connect app.

How do you set one as the Preferred Activity Tracker? I can't work out how to do this on the app - driving me crazy! Many thanks xx

Go to Garmin Devices. Then choose your device, then choose Activity Tracking. It's at the bottom of the menu.
