I had the same issue on a new fenix 5 plus.
When i try and add master card to the wallet then i get a blank screen and nothing happens. Tried many things unsuccessfully, power cycles, resetting wifi etc.
Finally I tried adding visa just to see if if I could get past where I was stuck with master card. First time successfully got to the next screen, subsequent times were successful sometimes.
I think there is a rendering race condition in the connect IQ device as trying visa again did not work, some of the other cards got mixed results.
After trying some of the other cards I was able to get past the hanging screen with mastercard.
I needed to use my iPhone to make it work. Once, the card is added, it also appears on my Android.
Pain in the a$$, because the whole setup must be done again, but this was the only way to make it work. And you need an iPhone (just for several minutes).
Against the description, that the data is only stored within the app and never reach a server or something, the credit card appears on the other phone/app automatically.
After disconnecting the iPhone and connecting it back again with your Android.
This behaviour exists not longer then ~1.5 - 2 years...
After a few days of unsuccessful trying, it seems to work now. I have added a VISA card within the Czech rep. As the same time I was experiencing problem with the android app (thus uninstalled, installed again, problems with the log in). Even the app seems to work now.
So There appear 2 ways to add a card, one to click the small icon in the upper right was not working for me. The other icon allowed me to finally add a card. And it doesn’t seem like it matters which of the 4 are selected. I think I picked discover but still was able to enter a Visa card. It took a few repeated clicks to eventually work.
Yes. the issue is with phone language. need to change to ENG.
