Android Pie and Android Messages APP notification

Is it known that there are issues with Android Pie and Android Messages APP notification? Watch will not reliably notify. (Fenix 5 with Pixel 2)

Newest update (October 2018) of Pie on my Pixel 2 seems to have fixed my Bluetooth syncing and notification problems.
