Garmin Connect App Audio Prompts on Garmin 820

Hi guys

I don't know if this is a problem with my 820 or the connect app on my S8 plus. I'm not getting any sound for the audio prompts. It is all synced, green light, etc. Even syncs up prior to going into the menu. But in audio prompts menu, there is a speaker icon, presumably that is there to test. I click on it and it spins round, no sound.
I've clicked on navigation alerts turned them on and others. No luck.
The phone is not in any power save, nor is it silent - all sounds maxed out. I've already reset the Garmin 820 (and lost my screens!) With again no luck. I have paired and unpaired the devices, go knows how many times. I have deleted the app and reinstalled so many times.
Please any help?

    I also am no longer hearing the audio notifications. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S7 running the stock Verizon version of Android 7.0 with a Garmin Forerunner 235 running firmware 7.30.

    If you desperately need the prompts, I'd advise uninstalling 3.19 and installing 3.18. Works perfectly ☺️

    Thanks. This isn't a critical or even important issue for me, but it might be for others. I was simply trying to provide more information to help Garmin's engineers resolve the problem.

  • Same here. No audio prompts after installing the last update of GCM (v3.19). Downgrading to 3.18 resolved the issue. I am using Fenix 3 HR, connected to Samsung Galaxy S6, running android 7.0

    Many thanks for this. Just as a point of interest, I have downloaded GC 3.18 APK and the audio prompts work perfectly. Not good, we have to do this, not to mention risky.


    Same, based on your suggestion. Worked for me as well, although I'm always nervous about installing such things.

    I am not receiving audio alerts since I updated. I would really love to have them back.
    I've uninstalled, reinstalled... Hard reset and that she still, nada. Please help!

    I have a 735xt and a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.

  • New update 3.20 seems to have fixed the issue.
