GCM crashes under Android 6 on Galaxy S6

Since I've updated my phone to Android 6 I can't use GCM. It crashes immediatly after start twice with a Pop-Up "Unfortunately, Connect has stopped". I've reinstalled the App, gave her all permissions and enabled the location service.
Anyone an idea?

How is this still a problem? Training season is in full swing and GCM has been down for me for two weeks now. Unacceptable.

I've just upgraded to Marshmallow 6.0 and GCM crashes every time I try to open it - Google Location Services is switched on but reading the above I can not open the Text-to-speech options because that too crashes!

I am having the same issue after upgrading to Marshmallow 6.01 this morning. I've wiped the cache partition but still can't get to the Text-to-speech options because it continues to crash. I refuse to factory reset the phone to get this to work, so hoping someone has some other suggestions.

    Hello All,

I have been having the same issue, and managed to solved it with the help of the workaround suggested by DOUG996INKC.

First of all you need to go to Galaxy App store and search for Text to Speech app > then update it. This solves the issue of having TTS app crashing.

After that you follow the steps suggested by DOUG996INKC:
"For a work-around, please change Samsung's TTS (text to speech) engine to use the default Google engine. The list of engines can be found at settings > General > Language and input > Text-to-speech options (although the path may vary depending on the model of Samsung (or other phone) you're using)"

Garmin Connect app should work now for you.
