ConnectIQ is telling me I need to update my watch, but I've downloaded all updates (new Forerunner 570)

I just received my brand new Forerunner 570, and was attempting to add Spotify and some new watch faces. No matter which app I select in the ConnectIQ store, I keep getting the same message: Device update needed. To get the latest version of this app, you must update your Forerunner 570 in Garmin Express.

I have already downloaded all available updates via the watch itself and using the check for updates function in Garmin Connect. I've also downloaded and installed Garmin Express and added my watch to that app. Garmin Express tells me that there are no more updates.

So - what am I doing wrong?!? This whole process worked perfectly with my Forerunner 265s. I'm beyond frustrated with this! HELP!!!

Hello 5237089 try powering down the watch completely and, while the watch is fully off, delete and redownload the Connect IQ app. If you are still unable to download apps or watch faces from Connect IQ, please provide a screenshot showing the pop up message.

Just received my brand new Forerunner 570, and I am completely unable to install any apps from ConnectIQ. Every single one is prompting me to update my watch using Garmin Express. However, I have downloaded every update - from the watch itself, from the check for updates function in Garmin Connect, and in Garmin Express. Currently Garmin Express is indicating that there are no more updates for my watch.

But I'm still getting the message that my watch must be updated. This is beyond frustrating!! What am I missing?!?!?!?

When the watch is paired with the phone, can you please provide a screenshot of Garmin Connect and Connect IQ?

I am having the same issue! I am so frusterated. Brand new watch and it will not work. I am thinking about returning the 570 I bought.

I've powered the watch down, my phone deleted and reinstalled the apps MULTIPLE TIMES.

I've downloaded garmin express and tried a wired connection to install the "update" and still nothing.

I am so frustrated!! I had a Garmin 205 many years ago, but switched to Apple Watches for last 7+ years. I wanted more data so I bought a Forerunner 570 and download App or add faces.

Connect IQ says the watch needs and update and will not allow download of apps. Additionally the "Face It" section of the App will NOT open, I have tried OVER and OVER again. There is no update!

I've powered the watch down, powered my phone down, deleted and reinstalled the apps Connect and Connect IQ Apps MULTIPLE TIMES. The Apps themselves are up to date.

I've downloaded garmin express and tried a wired connection to my computer to install the "update" and still nothing. There is not update that shows up. The watch is connected to WiFi.

I'm ready to reutrn this thing and buy another Apple watch.

Check to make sure there is not an update stuck on the watch itself.

Press the middle-left button or touch the screen to open the Menu.

Scroll to and select Settings (️).

Select System.

Select Software Update.

Select Check For Updates
