I recently got a Forerunner 965 after using a 945 and 935. Two of my go to Data Screens are Dozen Run and Dozen Cycle. When upgrading to 965, I noticed that the app is now paid. The app uses Garmin Pay.
Unfortunately there appears to be some sort of bug preventing me from installing any App, Data Screen, Watch Face from Connect IQ that uses Garmin Pay. I am able to install apps that use 3rd party payment and activation via a code, e.g. I installed a Fenix 8 V2 Watch Face.
When I try to i stall anything using Garmin Pay, it fails. I tried Android Connect IQ Store app - Tap Install - Shows a spinner, stops without any feedback. The Connect IQ Store app on the watch itself - Starts install and Fails Garmin Express. None ever asks for payment. The payment step doesn't work.
I've removed all my cards from Garmin Pay. Added new cards. Tried virtual cards and physical cards. Nothing works. Is it a country restriction? Based in South Africa.
Tap to Pay/Contactless payments using Garmin Pay work just fine. Connect IQ doesn't. It's so frustrating.
Garmin, please fix this!
