Good day, I own the Garmin Echomap 73 SV.. and I input all the GPS locations for lakes like shelbyville lake and Sangchris lake in Illinois. And I saved them all to my phone as well via google maps. All these locations were exactly where they should’ve been in the Garmin based on the paper map I have for the lakes. Then a few weeks ago I finally did my 1 free map upgrade. Since then ALL the gps locations now show something like 100-200 yards off their correct location on the maps. Some that were on the east side of the lake now show as being on land. To me, Garmin maps update has to be incorrect or they did something.. today when I turned my unit on, I all of a sudden got a warning message about how you shouldn’t use the line or whatever it is for routes.. have they made a public announcement about this anywhere? Basically my Garmin is now useless in regards to every single GPS coordinate I have input into the device.
