VIRB Edit Won't Load Past Splash Screen

I've uninstalled the software, rebooted and reinstalled numerous times. Installed Garmin Express and updated camera software with no results.
Any suggestions or perhaps there is a stable alternative (non-Garmin) software package that is compatible with this camera?

Yes. All appears to exceed the minimum system requirements. The only thing I haven't confirmed is the Graphics memory (no idea where to find that info). My graphics card is Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 (according to system settings)
Updating driver software did not assist

Our system requirements don't mention it, but VirbEdit requires DirectX 10 or higher to function. Can you confirm that you have the required DirectX version by following the instructions here? This is a pretty serious oversight in our system requirements. I'll make sure to get them updated.

    (Thanks for the reply)
It appears that I have DirectX 11 with DirectDraw, Direct3D, or AGP Texture acceleration all marked "enabled".
I removed the most recent version of VIRB Edit and installed 2.7.1. The older version works but I would still like to utilize the newest upgtade

Another thing to check is whether your database got into a bad state somehow. The Database appears to survive the uninstall process. Is VirbEdit able to start if you rename your VirbEdit database folder, usually found at C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\VIRB Edit\Database

Rename it to anything you like besides "Database" Let me know what happens

Ugh... that didn't work. It appears that it didn't create a new database during reinstall

Also, I want to thank everyone for their help so far. I have received more assistance (in a more timely fashion) from everyone here than Garmin Support

Hi, sorry to jump into someone else's post, but I too am having the same issues. Following advice on this forum, I have uninstalled VIRB Edit software, deleted the entire VIRB Edit folder in C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\, and then reinstalled VIRB Edit software - all to no joy. My PC system is way better than the minimum system requirements, and I too am running Directx 11. My issue only started occurring after I went into the folder that saves all the file clips and deleted all my old ones as had reached 200GB in size, and wanted to free some space from my hard drive.

I've tried running VIRB Edit with Garmin Express open too, and sometimes I get the message that the program has stopped working, and other times, nothing - the splash screen closes and nothing happens. I can of course go directly into the files on the memory card that is in the VIRB, but then it does not overlay the data from my Garmin Edge 810 I have - this is the only reason I chose this Camera as opposed to another make - Any help greatly appreciated!
