GPX file associated with .MP4 is faulty (single point, false duration)

Hello all,
I record a 1h40min flight which created two separated .MP4 files (VIRB0015.MP4 and VIRB0016.MP4). I found also two .GPX file (Track_2014-06-03 150155.gpx and Track_2014-06-03 140609.gpx). When I import the 2 video files, the first one (VIRB0015.MP4) is link to the same GPS track file of the second video. If I manually associate the first .GPX file with the first video file, it shows as a single point and no track despite I move ;-) (it's in a plane) and the video lasts 1h04min.

The first video file selected and the .GPX from the second part is associated :

Manual selection of the .GPX. See the 0 ft length, 6min13 duration (video lasts 1h04min) and single plot :

Furthermore, the exact same .GPX uploaded to GPS Visualizer web site (http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/) shows correctly :

How can I correct this faulty .GPX file and retrieve my track for this departure flight ?

Thanks in advance for your support.

I suppose you didn't went straight down resulting in a one dot track :D.
You could try and attach the .FIT file.
On Win7 you can look here to see if it's there: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\VIRB Edit\Database\2\FIT
Or you can have a look in your VIRB Elite Drive:\Garmin\Activity
    Hopefully that works.

BTW where is the video? Let us have a look... please..:D

Can you 'Adjust' the clip and the GPS so it's properly aligned?

If you could share the video and GPX files somehow (maybe via Dropbox) then I could take a closer look and help you better.

Yes ! Good idea and good workaround ! I just tested with the .FIT file and it seems to work fine !

Thanks again, it works fine with the .FIT file instead of the .GPX.

    Glad it worked.

BTW I can see a Drift X-170, mine didn't survive a collision with a truck.
I liked the long operation time, 5h recording on one pair of Duracell Ultra AA batteries.
Most of the time I had it shooting stills and recorded it on 16GB SD's
