Hi, sorry for new thread, but i can't find any solution.. I've got a Virb Elite with newest firmware + Virb Edit 2.4.0 and i can't read any info about g-force (GPS data works fine). Is there any option to show it on Virb Edit or some setting on the camera?

Here's a screenshot and GPX file if it help.. thanks for any info about my problem!

You want to change the Overlay template and pick one that actually displays G-force data.

Create a new video, add your clip to it, go to the Overlays tab and pick a template that has a G in the thumbnail.

I'm also having trouble with G-Force on the Garmin Virb Elite. I have added the G-Force Sensors and they aren't showing any Gs. Do you have to turn this on somewhere on the camera? I just got it 2 weeks ago. Am I doing something wrong?

I have attached a *.gpx file from driving my car from a convenience store to my son's school. I think it should have some acceleration data in it, but when I add the G-Force sensors, they don't display anything. Thanks!

Did you try using VIRB Edit 2.3.2?
I think it's something wrong in 2.4.0 that worked in 2.3.2.
    Just look here https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?81299-Virb-Edit-Accel-and-Braking-overlay-showing-no-data&p=286356#post286356

    Strange...
I tried to reproduce the error with your file.
First on 2.4.0 the overlay was showing no G force.
After some opening and closing of VIRB Edit it now shows G-force on the overlay.
I've used this as an overlay:

I had another look at the ploblem video I had (the one with the cat) but there is still no G-force in 2.4.0
Maybe it's caused by VIRB-GPS-data imported directly with the video and GPS-data added afterwards.
You might try importing your GPS-data and adding it to your video.

    EDIT: tested with the cat-video
I first exported the GPS data to an external file.
Than I opened the cat-video and replaced the original GPS data with the external file.
Now the G-force meters work in 2.4.0

@FALAGAR: problem detected, found a work around, maybe the bug can be fixed in 2.4.1 or 2.5?

    Than I

Thanks PA3FBO! I appreciate the data point. I was wondering if I needed to return my Virb Elite camera and get a new one. It now sounds like the Virb Edit software is the problem. I have only used version 2.4.0. I looked and couldn't find anywhere to download version 2.3.2. Do you know of a place?

I didn't try your work-around with adding a GPS file back to the video. I want to put multiple clips together to make one video and I don't know how to delete each gps file and then import a gps file for each clip in the video. It also sounds like a lot of work that I don't think I should have to do. I am hopeful that Garmin will fix this soon. This is one of the key reasons I purchased the camera.

    Thanks again!

You don't have to delete it, replace implies removing the original.
If you have a lot of clips, it is a lot of work but as said it's a work around, not a bug fix.
Bug fixes are for the developers, I'm just a user, at this moment even without a VIRB.

This is what I've made with your GPS-data:

You could try to copy your video and giving it a new name so VIRB Edit can't find the copy.
Than import the video and attach the exported GPS-log.
Your track and Gforces look like this:

I think there is no way (yet) to do calculations (averidges per time/distance) withing VIRB Edit at this moment.
Maybe the developers could list the commands and variables that are (or will be) implemented.
When calculations could be done within VE, such custom gauges could be made.
Making the gauges communicate with javascript could also help.
