Make a video with "pseudo-real-time-positioning" on OpenStreetMap from Virb-tracks

Hi,

I own a Garmin VIRB Ultra 30 Actioncam and film roadtrips with it. I like how it saves the GPS-track while recording and that I can combine the positioning with video footage in VIRB Edit. The track, however, can only be displayed by a line.

I was thinking about adding a little frame to the video and embed a pseudo-real-time-position on OpenStreetMap. Maybe a tool or a script could read the coordinates one by one in a certain and parse it into openstreetmap which updates the position in a sub-second interval. This, I would have to record from screen and then somehow synchronize it with my video footage.

Do you think this might work and do you have any ideas or expertise in how I can parse the data into OpenStreetMap?
