Virb Edit crashes on Windows 10 build 1903

Hi all,

Does someone succeeded in running Virb Edit on Windows 10 build 1903 ?

I have two totally different PC's, both on 1903, which are now unable to run Virb Edit software. One when starting rendering, the other as soon as I want to reopened a project. Obviously, it worked for years among the different version.

I tried a 4.2 version which seems to run, but the sync GPS track process is useless because of Bing and Google map doesn't work anymore on this version.

I have tried several uninstall and reinstall without success. Drivers are fully up-to-date on both computers which are totally different (Microsoft Surface Laptop and an homemade desktop).

In Update History I uninstalled "Update for Windows (KB4515871)" today to get VirbEdit working again

Hi!

I have the same problem with more or less instant crashes of Virb on Windows 10 - 1903. Worked perfect prior to the 1903 update.

Anyone with a solution?

on my Win10 Virb Edit always crashes when I try to export a movie to disk.

Progam It is completely useless, I can't use the camera.

Garmin is silent, makes no corrections, and hundreds of users have this problem. Shame

This worked for me to get VirbEdit 5.4.3 working again on Windows 10 build 1903:

Windows Update: - View Update History - Uninstall Updates - Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8

Thank you ! Just verifying : it's the ".Net Framework update for Windows 10 1903 (KB4514359) ? This one was released the 10th of september. Do you know at which version you are for .NET Framework ?

Yes, I checked the registry and I have .Net Framework 4.8.03752

FYI: My Windows 10 Home was installed about 5 weeks ago

Thank you very much. I just uninstall this exact same one. Reboot.

But unfortunately, just launch Virb Edit 5.4.3 and generate/export a movie and Virb Edit crashed.

Did another test on my second laptop Windows 10 1909 build 18363.418 : it works ! Thank you again for the tips.

I have to investigate why this trick doesn't work on my Windows 10 1903 build 18362.418
